MSc, MD, MRCOG, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital
Yacoub Khalaf has been Medical Director and Person Responsible (PR) of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Assisted Conception Unit since 2004. He has been published widely in reproductive medicine in The Lancet, the British Medical Journal (BMJ), Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility. He is both a HFEA clinical
advisor and a reviewer of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) guidelines. His main research interests are fibroid and subfertility, ovarian reserve and response to ovarian stimulation.
Background
Yacoub has been working in reproductive medicine since 1992,
first in Birmingham, before he moved to London and completed
the RCOG subspecialty training programme at Guy’s and
St Thomas’ Hospital in 2000. He was appointed Consultant in
Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine in 2001.
