2. Membership
The Board shall consist of:
a) a Chair ; and
b) no more than four members.
The Chair of the Board shall be the person registered as the owner of the ‘Oneatatime.org.uk’ domain name.
The Chair shall appoint members with a background or understanding of the following areas: clinical issues, embryology and the patient perspective.
The Board shall be assisted by a Secretary and a website officer.
3. Meetings
The Board shall carry out the majority of its work virtually. However, the Board shall meet no less than twice a year, and may hold further meetings where the Chair considers it appropriate to do so.
The quorum for a meeting shall be 50% of the total membership of the Board and shall include the Chair.
4. Duties
The duties of the One at a Time Editorial Board shall be to:
a) agree an editorial policy to govern the content and strategic direction of the ‘One at a Time Website’ and ‘One at a Time e-newsletter’;
b) monitor the use and content of the ‘One at a Time’ website (www.oneatatime.org.uk) and ‘One at a Time e-newsletter’;
c) consider any advice, or suggested changes, received from the Advisory Board; and
d) discuss, and make recommendations to the Chair about, the content and strategic direction of the ‘One at a Time’ website and ‘One at a Time e-newsletter’.
The duty of the Chair shall be to:
a) make all final decisions about the content and strategic direction of the ‘One at a Time Website’ and ‘One at a Time e-newsletter’;
b) communicate those decisions to the website officer, who will make any necessary amendments to the website;
5. One at a Time Advisory Board
The One at a Time Editorial Board shall be supported by an Advisory Board, whose members shall be appointed by the Chair of the Editorial Board.
The Advisory Board shall have no decision making powers.
6. One at a Time: review
The role of the ‘One at a Time’ Editorial Board will be reviewed in March 2010.

Research
The evidence-based knowledge that informs all ‘oneatatime.org.uk’ and ‘one at a time e-newsletter’ content is derived from peer-reviewed research and from the direct experience of clinicians, other health professionals, patients and the wider public. The Board receives suggestions from an Advisory Board.
Production
Once a piece of content for ‘oneatatime.org.uk’ and ‘one at a time e-newsletter’ has been researched and drafted, it is edited by the Board and is given final sign-off by its Chair. It is checked for:
